Howdy,
Thanks for taking some time to pass judgement on the hard work of a few Shutter Slingers. For SL3S contest and rules click here. Per the rules the photos you are asked to judge were taken at SLSP since July 1, 2009. There are four categories: Flora (plants); Fauna (animals); People in the Park (folks at the park); and Scenic (catch all category for any photo). You must judge every category. You can save your ballot and return to complete it.
Become a FOSL member today! At the end of the ballot you'll be able to follow a link and join us in supporting Houston Neighborhood State Park.
For each category (Fauna, Flora, Greenhorn, People in the Park & Scenic) you are given a certain amount of award beads to award amongst the photos in that category. Judging tips are given at the top of each category but you're welcome to use your own!
You decide if and how many beads a photo gets. Award your category beads to one photo or scatter them around. You must award all your beads in every catagory.
Below are the four category ballots. When your are finished awarding your beads click the "I'm ready to cast my ballot!" button at the bottom of the page. You'll get a chance to review your ballot before submitting it.

The subjects of scenic entries are...well...everything! It is a catch-all category that let the photographer capture things like a sunset or wide shot of the lake. A scenic photo allows a bit more creativity for the Shutter Slinger to use light and contrast, juxtaposition and artistic flair.
Because of the open ended-ness of the category it might be hardest to judge. You must judge the photo and how well it is composed the way it was selected. Judge how well it shows the environment and interconnectedness of nature. Lastly, judge the quality of the photo, composition, light and keep in mind the artistic bent of the shot (after all, it may not all be in focus).
